Matthew Wright presents Zero Carbon Australia plan to Year 12 students at SacreCoeur

From http://www.sacrecoeur.vic.edu.au/news/546/

"Matthew Wright, Executive Director of Beyond Zero Emissions organisation, told our Year 12 students today that the choice for a future with renewable energy was still in their hands.

Matthew was last year’s winner of the prestigious Environment Minister’s Young Environmentalist of the Year.  In his presentation to the Year 12s, Matthew outlined the work of Beyond Zero Emissions which is a not-for-profit organisation committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero or below by 2020. His interesting and insightful presentation demonstrated how a zero carbon Australia is not only achievable but possible if demand from within the community helps to lead the way.

In partnership with the University of Melbourne’s Energy Research Institute, Beyond Zero Emissions is undertaking the award winning Zero Carbon Australia 2020 project. The project is committed to systemic and structural change to achieve this."

If you are interested in having one of BZE's many trained presenters explain the Zero Carbon Australia project at your school please contact vicky.fysh@bze.org.au for details.
