VIC - Film Night - 'Bidder 70'

It's time for another film night in Melbourne!

Join Beyond Zero Emissions for a screening of  'Bidder 70', a multi-award winning film that tells the story of American climate activist, Tim DeChristopher, who was recently sentenced to serve two years in a federal prison following an act of civil disobedience. In 2008, DeChristopher disrupted a highly disputed BLM Oil and Gas lease auction when he successfully bid on 22, 000 acres of land worth $1.7 million with the intention of safeguarding it from resource exploitation.

Stick around after the screening for a discussion on the topic of fossil fuel divestment. More information about our guest speakers to be announced shortly.

Ticket prices are $7 online or $10 at the door.
