UPDATE: Volunteer recruitment for the Background ZCC research project is temporarily closed - thanks to all applicants we now have a great team busy with this exciting project. Thankyou and stay in touch.

BZE is currently looking for a volunteer to start asap and who can dedicate 1-2 days a week carrying out essential background research to support the development of our new and exciting Zero Carbon Communities initiative.

Are you interested in helping Beyond Zero Emissions transform Australia into a 21st century, zero carbon economy? Are you passionate about effective and meaningful environmental action? Perhaps you should consider taking up a volunteer role at BZE!

Volunteering is an excellent way to gain valuable experience, get behind-the-scenes and make your mark on the organisation.  In our experience, BZE volunteers find their roles fulfilling and enjoyable.

We strive to provide our volunteers with a rewarding experience with room for growth and change in the role.

Time commitment for volunteer roles varies depending on the position, project and what suits each person. It can be for a defined period, ongoing or on an 'on-call' basis. Roles can also be carried out as internships.

"I get more from BZE than I give. Its Can Do approach matches how I want to respond to climate change."

“BZE gives me a sense of a shared future. Working in the BZE office gives me the daily excitement of media call and response, the big issues, eavesdropping on the politics, the deadlines. “
